The Iowa City Community Theatre is teaming up with the 10,000 Hours Show (www.tenthousandhours. org) to reward ICCT Volunteers!
Each year in May, the 10,000 Hours Show unites thousands of volunteers in Iowa City for a night of music celebrating a yearlong commitment to volunteerism. No tickets are sold to this one-of-a-kind event. Instead, every member of the audience earns a ticket by contributing their time and talent to a participating Johnson County organization.
The 10,000 Hours Show believes that volunteerism is the cornerstone of any community. It is through volunteerism that citizens find purpose and personal connections, communities fill considerable needs, and students learn through practical experience. The Show is produced by the James Gang, a not-for- profit community organization, and the Public Project, a University of Iowa student group.
